Stay cosy and warm with the Nest Learning Thermostat

With the temperature dropping it is important that your home  heats nicely so you and your family can stay warm and cosy this Winter. And what better way to do that than with the Google Nest Learning Thermostat. It has an eye-catching design but helps you be more energy efficient, and learns your daily routine so you can stay warm when you’re in.

The thermostat learns what you like and creates a schedule for your home, all you have to do is turn it up and down for a week and the thermostat will programme itself, turning the heat up and down to suit your schedule - learning when you go to bed and when you get up and the temperature you like! It uses its sensors to adjust the heat just in time to reach the temperature you want and learns how long it takes to heat your home. Using sensors and your phone, the thermostat knows when you are away and will turn down the heat accordingly. Very clever and it helps save energy when you’re not home [1].

The thermostat comes in a variety of beautiful finishes such as a sleek black or a stylish and modern copper, so you can fit the thermostat in your home nicely whatever the décor. You can also control your hot water tank and give your hot water a boost when you need it, so you can enjoy a hot bath after a long day.

Another great thing about the thermostat is it is controlled from your phone via the Nest app. So, when your routine changes, especially with working from home, or occasionally popping into the office you can heat your home from wherever you are, so you can keep toasty warm, perfect for these frosty days!

Nest Learning Thermostat works with Nest Protect smoke and CO alarm to stop bad situations from getting worse. There is an option to automatically turn off your heating through your Nest Learning Thermostat when Nest Protect detects an emergency. [2] Nest Learning Thermostat also works with Google Assistant devices such as Nest Mini and Nest Hub so you can control your heating with your voice, e.g. “Hey Google, set the thermostat to Eco mode.” [3]

The thermostat should be installed by a Nest pro as it is more of a fiddly install to do it yourself. They can make sure that it’s in the right location and set it up for you, so there’s no issues later on.

Overall, the Nest Learning Thermostat is a great addition to your home.  Not only does it look incredibly stylish in comparison to your standard thermostat, but it’s incredibly helpful and smart, plus it is powered by a rechargeable battery so you can maintain the thermostat with ease! Save energy and stay comfortable.

[2] Automatic CO shutoff requires an active Wi-Fi internet connection at the time of the event and relies on having both Nest Protect and a Nest Learning Thermostat added to the same home in a Nest Account. This feature is available for regular and system boilers when not heating domestic hot water.
