Product of the Week: Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera

Our product of the week this week is the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera. It’s a wire free camera that illuminates the most vulnerable parts of your home and features motion activated light that can help deter intruders. Let’s take a look at some of the great features it possesses.

Battery powered

The floodlight camera is battery operated, making it easy to maintain and install. It has up to 6 months battery life which is a vast difference to some of its competitors so you can fit and forget for a while. You can also use the Arlo Solar Panel (sold separately) to keep the floodlight camera charged, so you have flexibility of how you power up the floodlight camera.

Camera quality

It has 2K HDR quality so you can see clearer details and offers coloured night vision, which is a unique feature for floodlight cameras. It has a 160-degree viewing angle so you can see a wide diagonal field of view of your garden or wherever you would situate the camera.

Two-way audio

This floodlight features two-way audio with superior audio quality so you can communicate with the visitors or intruders by your home. Plus, it’s a great feature when you’re having a parcel delivered when you’re not home.

The floodlight itself

The floodlight itself offers up to 3000 lumens of light making it extremely bright and powerful and it offers 4000K light output, so giving off a lovely cool white light.

Sound the alarm

The floodlight camera features a built-in smart siren which either can be triggered automatically or manually, whichever your preference, from the Arlo app. Having a siren featured is a great way to make it obvious that there is an intruder and can help alert the neighbours. The sirens can help deter strangers, so it’s another security feature that works wonders.

The design is unique. It’s not like many other floodlight cameras we’ve seen. The design is a sleek and comes in white. It has a weather resistant design, so it’s built to withstand heat, cold, rain or shine so perfect for the British weather and its unpredictability. The design is rather modern and doesn’t look like your usual floodlight, but when the floodlight camera lights up, the whole of the front excluding the camera is lit, so the design makes sense for the functionality it has.

Connect with your favourite voice assistant

The floodlight camera allows you to connect and control the camera with your favourite smart assistants. It works with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant as well as IFTTT so you can create your own unique smart security system.
